Alex Cooper is pleased to present our January 27th Gallery Auction Including Art, Furniture, Rugs, and Decorative Arts. Art presents a fabulous selection of work by the Greats of Baltimore Art, featuring Herman Maril, Eugene Leake, Raoul Middleman, A. Aubrey Bodine, Joseph Sheppard, Henry Coe, James Voshell, Juan Bastos, Reuben Kramer and Gladys Goldstein, and more. The Auction also features prints, paintings, sculpture, and photography by artists including Francisco Zuniga, Sam Gilliam, Joan Miro, Aristde Maillol, Marc Chagall, Barbara Gough Nuss, Clementine Hunter, Will Barnett, Salvador Dali, Robert Riggs, Diego Rivera, a collection of Mourlot posters featuring Georges Rouault, Andrew Masson, Andre L’Hote, Jean Cocteau, as well as works attributed to George Bellows, William Merritt Chase and Peter Paul Rubens. Also featured in this auction is a 1954 Plymouth Belvedere, owned by the former governor of Louisiana, James Albert Noe Sr. Furniture features two chaise lounges designed by Walter Lamb for Brown Jordan a MacKenzie Childs Breezy Poppy table and four chairs, a Ralph Lauren tufted leather armchair and ottoman, a Harvey Probber Style Mid Century sofa and sofa table a, Harvey Probber extendable dining table, eight Harvey Probber dining chairs a much more. Rugs feature a beautiful Antique Oushak Carpet, a unique Antique Tibetan Rug, and more. The Decorative Arts featured in this auction includes Chinese Export, an American Market eagle decorated tea set, Delftware, an extremely rare Titanic postal ephemera, important illustrated 4-volume British Gardeners Dictionary,1740-1809. The auction also includes a pair of Coalport ice pails/fruit coolers, bronze sculpture, a Meissen fish service and figures, leather pig ottoman, early signed English Royal documents, decorative lighting, and a selection of quality pens.
