Description
original bound manuscript ledger of Dr. C. J. F. Bohannan, Richmond, Virginia, 1844 - 1848; tall 4to, about 128 pp. with entries, quarter leather, patterned boards; providing a detailed record of his clients and what they were treated for. Many were slaves or free black residents of the Richmond area. A very high proportion of his cases were for gonorrhea or syphilis.
