Oval, with simple banded rim, the border with heraldic monogram of Eugene de Beauharnais, Viceroy of Italy, Duke of Leuchtenberg and son of Josephine Beauharnais; 14 3/4 in. L., 8 3/4 in. D., 23.65
Condition
Tested at 750/800 silver standard. Some marks are partially rubbed and could be German/Bavarian with French import marks. There are surface scratches throughout from use, small spots of pitting. Without repairs
Provenance
Eugene Rose de Beauharnais, (French 1781-1824), son of Josephine de Beauharnais and stepson of Napoleon Bonaparte. Then by descent through the family
