Description
Circa 1805-1824; circular, with simple oval ring handles, the cover with acorn finial, body and cover both with heraldic monogram of Eugene de Beauharnais, Viceroy of Italy, Duke of Leuchtenberg and son of Josephine Beauharnais; 5 in. H., 6 9/8 in. Diam., 33.05 ozt.
Condition
Tested at 750/800 silver standard. Some marks are partially rubbed. Marks appear to be Munich with French import marks. Marked Weishaupt. Scratches from use. With pitting and spots of corrosion throughout, particularly the interior. The acorn finial is loose. The cover with warped rims. Without repairs

Eugene Rose de Beauharnais, (French 1781-1824), son of Josephine de Beauharnais and stepson of Napoleon Bonaparte. Then by descent through the family
