Henry Bouquet (1719-1766, Swiss-born soldier, Lt. Col. of the Royal American Regiment during French & Indian War) autograph document, signed, dated at New York, May 6, 1765; 4 1/4 x 7 1/4 in.; certifies that Anthony Gerrat was a soldier in the 1st Battalion of the Royal American Regiment, that despite his term of service being expired, he remained at Fort Le Boeuf and could not be discharged until his return to Lancaster in March; together with an engraved portrait.
