Tench Tilghman (1744-1786, Aide de Camp and secretary to George Washington) autograph note, signed, docketed June 19, 1777 and "John Pool" (Possibly a Private from SC, b. 1758); comprising three lines on a slip of paper, 3 1/2 X 6 5/8 in., "If the Telescope, which was to have been left at your House for the General, is come, please to send it per Bearer."
