Description
Two documents associated with the schooner eagle, which arrived in Baltimore from La Guayra, Venezuela, in May, 1807, with a cargo of coffee, indigo, and other goods, comprising: 1) A part-printed ship's manifest, signed by the Captain, Daniel Havens, and the port collector, J. Brice; and 2) Part-printed insurance policy issued by the Union Insurance Co. of Md., to John M. Miner, owner of the schooner Eagle, scheduled to cruise on the Spanish Main, January 15, 1807. Together with a handwritten request on the Union Insurance Co., to underwrite the voyage of the Schooner Mary, of Baltimore, to Washington, NC, August 20, 1816.
Condition
The Insurance policy is separating at the folds and has old glassine tape repairs
