Mid 18th century: Round barrel with proof marks near the breech, with bayonet lug doubling as a sight, 42 in. L.; Flintlock ignition with plain plate; figured walnut full stock (ending about 4 inches from muzzle to allow room for bayonet) secured to barrel with pins, with brass butt plate and long brass trigger guard, with improvised brass nose; iron ram rod; 57 1/4 in. L. overall. Together with a 15 7/8" bayonet stamped "Osborn & Gunby," 1st half 19th century.
