Maker unidentified, with round barrel marked "P," with trace of eagle's head, lug for bayonet near muzzle, 42 1/2 in. L.; three spring-catch barrel bands, the middle with eyelet for sling, the front with brass blade sight; steel lock with no apparent markings; trigger guard marked "77;" walnut full stock, "CD" impressed behind the trigger guard tang, "E" cut into the side; 57 3/4 in. L. overall.
Condition
Old corrosion and polishing on lock plate has removed any marks
