1st quarter 19th century: octagonal barrel with adjustable front and rear sights, "JLO" stamped near breech of barrel, 34 in. L.; lock plate marked "W. Jacot / Warranted," converted from flintlock to percussion, with set trigger; highly figured maple full stock with brass butt plate, patch box, and trigger guard, further enhanced with vivid brass and silver inlays, including the coat of arms of Pennsylvania, a squirrel on a quarter moon, and a sword and heart; 49 in. L. overall.
Condition
Stock broken at the wrist, with some loss around the lock. Old repairs with brass sheathing underneath the forearm. The firing mechanism not operative and rear trigger lost

From the estate of a Maryland collector. Reportedly descended in Glossbrenner family of Lancaster Co., Pa.
