Frederick Heisly, Frederick, Md., (active there 1783-1793), with fixed upright vanes and early walnut platform base; brass, the compass with silvered interior and niello engraving, 14 1/2 in. L. overall, 6 1/2 in. H.
Condition
Wooden platform shows wear. A thumbscrew is missing.
