Description
By Andrew Ellicott Warner, Baltimore, 1786-1870, 11.2 mark. Extensive service comprising coffee pot, teapot, creamer, covered sugar, waste bowl, covered butter dish, and a second handled sugar bowl. Each of ornately and finely decorated repousse, the motif consisting of birds surrounding an empty monogram cartouche, against a field of flowers, fruited and floral urns, figural scenes, statuary, and cornucopias against a stippled ground, on a conforming dome foot, the covers with strawberry finial, foliate capped scroll handles and spout; 167.05 ozt.
Condition
Coffee pot: 14 1/4 in. H. Handle is tight at the insulators; foot rim is slightly warped along one area thus the pot does not sit quite even, it wobbles a little. Empty monogram cartouche on each side with tiny dents. 43.10 ozt. Teapot: 13 1/4 in. H. Handles tight at insulators. Empty monogram cartouche on each side with tiny dents. 35.2 ozt. Creamer: 8 7/8 in. H overall. Empty monogram cartouche with tiny dents. Foot rim is slightly warped. 12.45 ozt. Covered Sugar Bowl: 8 1/4 in. H. 17.15 ozt. Waste Bowl: 7 in. H. Empty monogram cartouche on each side with tiny dents. 15.45 ozt. Handled Sugar Bowl: 7 7/8 in. H. missing its cover. The inside rim indicates that a cover would be present. Empty monogram cartouche on each side, one with tiny dents. 18.45 ozt. Butter Dish: 4 1/2 in. H. Cover fits very tightly. Interior is fitted with pierced insert and is warped along the edges, it still fits nicely within the dish. 25.25 ozt.
