Description
One, by Edward and John Barnard, London, 1866; one, by Edward, Edward Jr., John and William Barnard, London, 1869; both retailed by Thomas's, Bond Street, London. Each modeled as a duck, with finely chased feathers, garnet eyes and gilt interior, each inscribed "Quack" on the underside; 3 1/4 in. H, 5 in. L, 10.75 ozt.
Condition
In overall good condition - without dents, splits or repairs. The 1866 duck is missing a garnet eye and has a tiny spot of pitting on the interior and some spots on the underside; his model number is 48 and the weight is 5.2 ozt. The 1869 duck weighs 5.55 ozt., is model number 612. Each with some wear to the gilding from age, use and cleaning
