Qianlong Era, circa 1745. Chinese export English market. The coat of arms is that of BEAUPLE impaling BETTESWORTH. The Beauple or Bewpell family are recorded in Devon and Cornwall, and Bettesworth at Tyning in Sussex and on the Isle of Wight, 9 in. Diam. Howard, Chinese Armorial Porcelain, Vol. I, p.364, no. M2 (1974), illustrates a plate from this service.
