Circa 1870-85; painted circular cast iron base, with gilt stenciled lettering "QUOTATIONS FURNISHED BY THE WESTERN UNION TELEGRAPH Co. APPLY TO LOCAL MANAGER.," glass dome with cut brass mechanism and primitive electric elements, having an original tape roll, 13 1/2 in. H., 7 1/2 in. Diam.
