Late 16th century; cast bronze of Madonna & Child with rays of light, meant to be backed up to a wall surface, 16 in. H. This exact same form was also used in a chandelier of the period.
Condition
Age appropriate wear, could be from altered chandelier

From Sanford Suchow, prominent New York collector and dealer.
