Inscribed "Iacob Yelverton his horn Albany 1780" (identity untraced but likely an artilleryman serving in the area) further inscribed "Nec Aspera Terrent / Powder & Ball shall cause a Tyrants Fall;" decorated in black with touches of red with a schematic map showing a number of towns and forts in the region, the forests scattered with lovers, hunters, and wild animals; a British coat of arms; and a view of a British camp, with a soldier seated on a drum; cow horn with carved spout; wooden butt cap secured with iron nails, 16 1/4 in. L.

Flanges at edge of the horn are broken
