Circa 1870s; in the Herter manner, diminutive ebonized wood chairs with painted line decoration and gilt accents, tacked upholstery made to resemble jeweled fabric, 26 in. H., 18 in. W., 16 in. D.

Additional comments added on 5/8/24: Frames show age wear,but do no appear to have any splits or breaks. Chairs are fairly sturdy with a little wobble, no visible markings seen on the chairs Paint and gilt wear, new upholstery
