Thomas Herbert, trans. by Jeremie Van Vleet, RELATION DU VOYAGE DE PERSE ET DES INDES ORIENTALES (Paris: Du Puis, 1663) Inscribed "Bibliothecae Colbertinae" at top of title page, in the classic binding characteristic of the famous collection of Jean-Baptiste Colbert (1619-1683, chief minister to Louis XIV): full polished goatskin, of the period, with armorial gilt tools on the spine and centered on the boards.
Condition
Spine shows a bit of wear and about five small worm holes (with no apparent damage in the text)
