Description
Very cool bank name with strong black ink signatures and a repeating Charter number 1212. Note grades VG from folds, one corner missing a little bit of paper and some staining. Interesting history of the town which was settled in the late 17th century. An early resident was Kateri Tekawitha a native woman who converted to Catholicism and later became the first Native American Saint. Town was named after a man named Douw Fonda who was scalped and killed during the revolution in 1780 and his later descendants were the Fonda acting family per Wikipedia.
