W, 6.55 ozt.; George V box, Elkington & Co., Birmingham, 1928, the cover with a ship and couple in 18th century costume, the interior with mirror, inscribed "First Prize, Fancy Dress Ball, Presented by The Royal Mail Steam Packet Co.," 1 1/8 in. H, 3 in. Diam., 4.1 ozt. total weight; and a George V armorial pocket watch case, Wright & Davies, London, 1919, retailed by Finnigan's Ltd., New Bond Street, with chased armorial and a banner "Ubique Patriam Reminisci," velvet and taffeta interior, easel back, 4 1/2 in. H, 3 3/4 in. W, 1 1/2 in. D, 10.8 ozt. total weight
Condition
English silver is sterling standard. Oil lamp: maker's mark is rubbed, weight includes rope wick. Oil receptacle is on the front tip. Box: some very slight warping along the edges. The mirror with losses, no cracks. Clock case: marked in several places, some marks with wear. Velvet with wear and stains
