Theodore Roosevelt (1858-1919, 26th President of the United States, Gov. of NY, soldier, author) ALS, dated at Washington, March 10 [1895] to Lemuel Ely Quigg (1863-1919, newspaperman and NY Republican operative, arranged for Roosevelt's appointment as New York City Police Commissioner) stating in part, "Today the Mayor made me the offer, and I accepted, subject only to having some decent colleague;" 2pp, 12mo, by sight, framed with glass on both sides
