19th century or earlier, comprising a blade, two narrow gutters on either side, with slightly wavy suguha temper line; the habaki appears to be gilt copper, 14 1/2 in. L, 1 1/4 in. D at the hilt, the tang not signed, 4 1/2 in. L. The handle with chased metal mounts of silver and possibly gold, the fuchi signed by maker, 4 1/8 in. L. The tsuba signed by the same maker. Maki-e lacquer scabbard with matching chased floral mounts, 15 7/8 in. L. Inscribed kotsuka with chased floral handle, again signed by the maker, 8 7/8 in. L overall. The blade in shirasaya mounts; a wooden "blade" substituted in the koshirae
