CC-34 May 9, 1776 $4 and signed by Josiah Hewes and William Webb. This note is close to XF but conservatively is VF35 with an old fold visible on reverse and 1 pinhole. CC-22 Feb 17, 1776 Nice fractional notes are difficult because they wore up from being used as change. The signature has worn away and, like many fractionals it was saved by being backed by stronger paper. This one is very unusual as both sides of the note were somehow back by the same sheet
