NC- 139, Dec 1771 One Pound note that was stamped by I. Ashe (John Ashe - Treasurer of the Southern District of NC) on the reverse and signed twice. SN 8767, it was signed four times by Richard Caswell, Lewis De Rosset, John Rutherford and John Harvey. VA-163 October 5 1778 and singed by Bolling Stark and Edward Archer, the note's ink is well preserved but the note itself has center vertical splits. This was the highest denomination, $100, caused by inflation, produced by Virginia to date. SN 5093
