(Swiss - American, 1904-'73, 1st son of Albert Einstein, Hydraulic engineer) typed letter, signed, to Paul Nemenyi (Hungarian, 1895 - 1952, mathematician and physicist, best known for work in fluid dynamics and continuum dynamics) on USDA Soil Conservation Service letterhead, Greenville, SC, May 1, 1940, in German, concerning Nemenyi's use of Strickler's Formula in discussing the movement of silt in flowing water in his book WASSERKRAFT UND WASSERWISSENSCHAFT (1934)
