Description
Cuthbert Warner (1753-1822), 3 Jones Street, Old Town, Baltimore, late 18th/early 19th century; works with painted dial, second sweep, calendar and moon phase with painted floral spandrels, signed Cuthbert Warner, bonnet with broken arch, pinecone finial, dentil molding, fully turned and fluted columnar supports with arched glass panel door, case with long door in waist with fluted quarter columnar supports, paneled base with similar quarter columnar supports, straight bracket feet (replaced)
Condition
Works not tested; primitive farm scene on moon phase over-painted, signature partially strengthened, top of face broken and repaired, calendar missing, case has old desiccated finish, feet replaced, age appropriate scratches, wear, and wood separation, paint spatter
