1872 Liberty Gold $2.5 NGC AU58 CAC. A mintage of only 3,000, this coin is rare in all grades, even more so in mint state. This is in the census at NGC with only a few 61s and 62s and it is very close to mint state itself. It has the flash of semi-proof like surfaces on both sides and minimal wear in the fields. A little scratch after her nose serves as a provenance diagnostic. A CAC Green bean only enhances its appeal for the quality conscious collector
