1884 Liberty Gold $2.5 NGC MS61. Scarce in all grades with a mintage of less than 2,000 but it seems more were saved than earlier small mintage quarter eagles. Has the appearance of a coin nicer than 61 with its semi-proof like fields and full luster, however many early business strikes from this date have a proof like appearance. Close inspection reveals some minor bag and handling marks but it is still a very attractive coin with eye appeal
