1854 C $5 Liberty Weak C MS60 NGC One of the scarcest Charlotte Half Eagles from the 50s. Most often seen in VF and XF and lower grade AU. Unlike many 54-C's the obverse stars are well struck and like many 54-C's the reverse central details are weakly struck (lower and right side of eagle). Mintmark is weak but clear and fields, as 54-C's often are, are abraded as the 60 grade might suggest. Variety 2 with mintmark centered over upright in E; Only 4 Weak C's better at NGC
