1858-C Liberty Gold $5 NGC MS60 Usually one of the better struck Charlotte eagles, this one compares nicely with well struck stars,portrait, eagle and denticles on both sides. Surfaces have probably fewer marks and nicks than most MS60 coins and the luster appear soft with semi-reflective fields on both sides. Color most likely affected by an old dipping. Matches known die diagnostics with 2 small lumps on Liberty's cheek, die line coming off right base of I in LIBERTY and over first A and RI in AMERICA. Variety 1
