Richard Peters (1744-1828, Continental Commissioner of War) autograph letter, signed, dated at the war office, Philadelphia, April 19, 1781, to Caesar Rodney, "President of Delaware State," 1 p., 4to, 9 1/8 x 7 1/8 in., with integral cover. Peters informs Rodney that he has sent armed vessels to Delaware to pick up supplies collected as part of the state quota. He asks Rodney to do all he can to facilitate the operation.

Paper toned, with some dark staining; intersecting folds
