Fitted for target shooting, Pennsylvania, 2nd quarter 19th century: heavy octagon barrel, about .35 calibre, marked "CHNADER" on top, with hooded front sight and adjustable peep sight near thumb rest, 43 1/4 in. L.; flint ignition with set triggers, the plate finely engraved with dog, bird, and foliage, stamped "Josh. Golcher;" strongly figured maple full stock with brass butt plate, patch box, trigger guard and other fittings; wooden ramrod; 58 3/8 in. L. overall.
Condition
Rear ramrod ferrule extended toward the trigger guard with a brass strip - very neatly done during period of service
