Jiaqing Era, Circa 1800-10 this lighthouse coffee pot bears the name of "Allen B. Strong" at the bottom of the cartouche. He is presumed to have lived in New Jersey about 1800. There is a pensive figure seated above his name in the cartouche. On the sides of the coffee pot are two cartouches - the upper with a western landscape view, the lower with an oriental bird sitting in a tree. The predominant colors are brown, gold, blue, green, black and pink on the clothes of the seated figure. 10 in. High. For further reading, see Herbert Schiffer, Chinese Export Porcelain, p.46.
