Inscribed, "ISAAC KING HIS HORN / 17858" (identified with Isaac King, 1727-1799, born and died in Suffield, Hartford Co., Ct.) engraved with an outline plan of Ft. Ticonderoga, faintly labeled; a horse in a fenced lot, and stylized plants; thinned and carved cow horn, with traces of green dye, fitted with a wooden butt capp (scratched with the name "J. Brinton," a family member, and a primitive sail boat in profile), 12 3/4 in. L.
Condition
The green dye (frequently a fugitive color) has turned brown
